Stupid Censoring Software
Dear webmaster / moderator folk - a quick question... I want to change my forum signature to include the RA motto "Quo Fas Et Gloria Du****". However, the censoring software won't allow me to type "Du****" on account of the fact that it obviously contains a 4 letter swear word. Can the system be changed so that I can put my preferred signature on, please?

I remember this being discussed a while back, as I contributed a reference to the S****horpe problem, as it is called. Personally I'm quite comfortable with websites using an obscenity filter, I'm just irritated that the programs can't simply refer to a dictionary of approved words. Then a moderator could review the dictionary from time to time.

Meanwhile a work around method is to use the character map to choose a similar looking letter. For example Т С are the crylic letters Te and Es.

Trouble with such a work-around is that it's cheating and others might copy.

As far as I am aware, only Admin has the power to do that. He set the whole site up and also set up the security software.

You could try e-mailing Admin with your request.

Just use a different signature.

Personally I pay no attention to motto's in signatures.
I speak english not latin.

If you italicize or bold type one of the four letters it usually works,
