I was there just before Christmas on a recce. Here are some pointers:
Wretham is spilt in A and B camp, each with accommodation and cookhouse. There is a NAAFI which needs to be booked. There are classrooms and drying rooms on both sides. Accommodation is WW2 style Nissan huts, they are in reasonable condition. All in all, not too bad for a transit camp. The training area is top notch with loads of open fields, woods, houses etc.

Was a good camp! I absolutly loved it, good food, good training area good facilities etc.! I am not sure now, as I went in 2005 so a while ago.

No Whippet, each County will have it's own couple of weeks in the camp.

Only advance and rear parties are likely to bump into members of other counties.

BTW Brown.. Last time I went there, there was this really nasty rock.. About 7 of us fell over it, 2 cut ourselves... It may have grown over the years

I mention it as I was at West Tofts back in 2005...and it is at Thetford. Another transit camp for STANTA.

Oxon ACF stayed at West Tofts in 2006. Mid-way through camp all the Cadets and Adults were amazed to find about 4 or 5 APCs to randomly drive through camp and back out again.
